SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 CHEESE – AUSTRALIA WIDE

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN ADELAIDE

Swiss Club of South Australia is celebrating Swiss National Day at Montacute on Saturday 2 August with Swiss Raclette and traditional sausages, a bonfire and a lampion parade.

Tickets include Glühwein OR hot apple juice, and the meal of your choice:

  • 2 Wienerli with Bürli and potato salad (sausage with bread & salad)
  • Raclette with Bread and traditional garnishes

Also included are tea, coffee, a bonfire, lampion parade and sing along.

Tickets cost:

  • $30 for members aged 13+
  • $50 for non-members aged 13+
  • $15 for children aged 2-12.

Although not specifically a Swiss National Day celebration, you could also celebrate with Cheese After Dark Special: Raclette night with Ministry of Clouds at Smelly Cheese Co. on Saturday 6 August

Enjoy a Raclette feast with potatoes and charcuterie, wine tastings from Ministry of Clouds and Saudada Portuguese tarts to sweeten the finish.

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN BRISBANE

Swiss Club of Queensland is holding the Swiss National Day celebration at Samford Showground from 11am into the evening. It’s a family friendly event with children arts and crafts and a children’s disco. In addition to lunch and dinner, there will be live music, a lampion procession and bonfire. You can camp overnight if you like.

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN CAIRNS

German Club Cairns is celebrating Swiss National Day on Friday 1 August with a night dedicated to the alpine charm of Switzerland, and one of its most beloved dishes: raclette!

Prices vary depending on the number of people you book for but cost $25 per person when you book for 2 and get cheaper per person for every 2 extra people you book for.

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN CANBERRA

Swiss Club ACT will celebrate Swiss National Day on Saturday 2 August. No further details are available on the website. In the meantime, here is the event page which should be updated closer to the event.

 

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN DARWIN

Swiss Social Club Darwin  is holding a Swiss National Day Bratwurscht-Dinner on Saturday 2 August. Your $35 ticket includes Pro Patria Pin, Bratwurscht-Dinner and a Swiss dessert. There is no fee for children under 12.

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 ON THE FRASER COAST

Swiss Club of Queensland will host the Fraser Coast Swiss National Day celebration on Saturday 2 August 2025. This will be the 25th Swiss National Day celebration for the Fraser Coast group, who will have a bonfire for ‘Servelats braetle’, Swiss Bingo, Raffle and cake. There is the possibility of camping if you wish. It will be held at the house of some of their members.

Swiss Club of Queensland Gold Coast Group will celebrate Swiss National Day 2025 on Sunday 3 August with a picnic at Gold Coast Regional Botanical Gardens.

Swiss Club of Victoria is celebrating on Swiss National Day proper, Friday 1 August 2025 with a Swiss luncheon, a Swiss dinner and their traditional Family Lantern Parade from Federation Square followed by light refreshments at the Swiss Club. Celebrations continue on Saturday 2 August with the Swiss Festival held in Williamstown. The festival was originally started by a group of volunteers in response to the closure of the Swiss Consulate in Melbourne in 2006, creating an opportunity for the community to come together and for families to introduce their children to Swiss culture. SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN PERTH

Swiss Club of Western Australia will hold its Swiss National Day celebration at their Gidgegannup property in the afternoon and evening of Saturday 2 August. The menu consists of Fleischkäse / Swiss meatloaf and Beinschinken / hot ham with a traditional salad buffet consisting of potato salad, carrot salad, corn salad, beetroot salad and green salad. After the bonfire has been lit at 6pm you will be able to enjoy the substantial traditional Swiss homemade dessert buffet supplied by attendees.

Tickets costs $30 for adult and children members over 12, $50 for non-members over 12, and $15 for children aged between 5 and 12.

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2025 IN SYDNEY

Swiss Cham Australia is celebrating Swiss National Day at the Swissôtel in Sydney on the day itself, Friday 1 August with a three-course Swiss-style dinner prepared by the hotel’s chef, and immerse yourself in an evening of authentic Swissness. There will also be a chance to win some delicious Etter Schnapps.

The Swiss Yodlers of Sydney and the Swiss Folk Dance Group Alpegruess will celebrate Swiss National Day 2025 in Sydney at Castle Hill Showground on Sunday 3 August The event is also supported by Swiss Community Care Society, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Sydney and the Swiss Embassy in Canberra.

Your ticket includes entry and one serve from the BBQ (Bratwurst, Cervelat or Flesischkaese). A vegetarian option is also available (make sure you let organisers know 96 hours before the event).

According to their save the date, Swiss Community Care Society is holding a Swiss National Day Luncheon at the Concordia Club, Tempe on Thursday 24 July. No further details have been published on the website.
