The home of waffles, chocolate and serving everything with fries. Then, of course, there is the beer. Belgians truly know the great things in life. On July 21, SBC are celebrating everything Belgian on their National Day. It is one of our very favourite days. As such, they feel it is the perfect day to launch their new menu!
Saccharomyces Kitchen has found inspiration, and enlightenment. This enlightenment is the Belgian Boulet. A traditional Belgian dish that is a staple in homes and restaurants across the country, the Boulet is essentially a giant meatball swimming in gravy. If it is good enough for the people that have centuries of experience crafting the ultimate beer culture, who are we to argue.
The Boulet is now the hero of their menu and here in the Sacch Kitchen, they let you create your own Belgian masterpiece. First up you choose your protein: Traditional (beef/pork mix), chicken, or plant based. Next you choose your sauce and finally pick your side. There you have it. Your own personally designed, unique meal.
Along with their new Belgian Boulet menu they have line up EIGHT Belgian and Belgian-inspired beers that pay homage to the Disneyland of beer. If you are a Belgium beer fanatic (and who isn’t?) this is day not to be missed!

Belgian for a day
Did you miss the new menu launch and spectacular Belgian National Day celebrations on July 21? Never fear. It is back on the weekend with some exciting new ‘Speciale Belge’. Yup their kitchen has smashed out a new menu but are taking it a step further with some killer classic Belgian specials for the weekend (well the Saturday part of the weekend at least).
On Saturday July 24, join us as they go Belgian for a day. To add to their already very Belgian menu, the kitchen will be pumping out bowls of mussels and some tasty hot waffles! Belgians truly know the great things in life.

We didn’t get to celebrate BND last year, so Belgian Beer Café Melbourne is giving it a whole week this year!
Your brew-rail pass will get you 150ml of each of their 7 special guest Belgian beers:
