Next Sunday is Mother’s Day. Below is a list of places at which you can treat your Mum to a French themed day.

Mother’s Day in Adelaide

 

Art Bar

Mother’s Day Sunday Session – Frenchy Bossa Nouveau with Freddy Fudara on guitar. $50 for 2 cheeses and a bottle of wine and free wine tastings at the bar.

 

Cliché

The regular menu will be available as well as a few specials (TBA) as well as $6 French Mimosas all day!

 

Karkoo Nursery, Blackwood

Adelaide group, Mélange à trois, will be performing at the Karkoo Nursery from 2 to 4pm.

 

La Bonne Table

The normal menu will be available for Mother’s Day.

 

La Madeleine

Nothing in particular for Mother’s day but take your Mum for a selection of French savoury and sweet delights and then pop next door to La Vigne for a glass of wine.

 

La Provence

La Provence proposes a Mother’s Day 5 course luncheon for $85 per person

Lunch with live entertainment from 11am. Mum gets a free glass of bubbles. 3 courses for $78, or 2 courses main and dessert for $65. Children’s menu $25.

Dinner is $58 for a main and dessert or $70 for all 3 courses. Children menu for $25.

 

Madame Rouge Bar and Bistro

Madame Rouge proposes a three course choice menu for $65 per person.

You can also pair each course with a wine pairing option for an additional $35 per person. Kids menu available for children 12 years and under for $35 per child.

 

The French Bistrot

Choose any 2 course $40 3 course $55. Selection from their à la carte menu.

All mums receive a complimentary glass of french bubbles

 

Mother’s Day in Canberra

 

Buvette

A special Mother’s Day eve dinner on Saturday 12th May. $78 for a three-course dinner with glass of Piper-Heidsieck champagne on arrival for Mum.

The Pearl

Set menu with $75 for 3 courses or $85 for 4 courses.

A La Bouffe

A 3 course lunch for $90 includes a complimentary Kir Royale for Mum.

 

Bibelot

$55 for a selection of savoury and sweet pastries and a glass of sparkling wine. Menu and bookings here.

 

Bistro Gitan & L’Hotel Gitan

The older sibling of the Gitan family, Bistro Gitan will have a four-course feast of traditional French food for $95 per person.

For a slightly more Art Deco atmosphere, head to L’Hotel Gitan for a 4 course gastropub lunch for $90 per person.

Bistro Thierry

The full à la carte menu is available. Bistro Thierry has been completely booked out for a couple of months but they do have a waiting list!

If you miss out this year, keep it in mind for next year but book early!

 

Bon Ap

Bon Ap will serve brunch from 10 am to 11.30 and then the dinner menu all day and night.

 

Chez Olivier Melbourne

We do not know at the time of press if there will be a special menu for the day or if it will be the usual menu on offer.

Cocorico

For $50 for 4 people (or 2 quite hungry people!), you can have a French breakfast with viennoiseries, crêpes and fresh baguettes with jam or Nutella! Think about reserving your table in advance to secure a place.

Entrecôte 

Breakfast with a Mimosa on arrival and unlimited sparkling water and Larsen & Thompson tea or Rosso Roasting Co. coffee for $49.90 per person.

The French Milk Bar

The normal menu will be available on the day. The French Milk Bar will be open on Mother’s Day for lunch only from 11am to 4pm.

There will be a set menu with 3 or 3 course options along with live Gypsy Jazz & accordion!

 

Noir

Noir will have its usual shared Sunday lunch for $55 per person during the day, with a full à la carte dinner menu in the evening.

They will have the usual à la carte menu. The menu changes every day so at the time of publishing we do not know what will be available on the day. Here is an example menu to give you an idea.

Prawn, mushroom and leek crepe, savoury crêpes, encased with tiger prawns, button mushrooms and creamed leeks served with sautéed spinach and creamy saffron, white wine and garlic sauce gratinée with fromage under the grill

In house, prepared chicken liver, peppercorn and cognac pate, served with pork rillettes, pickled french gherkins, spiced cranberry chutney, cumberland sauce and toasted brioche

Roti d’agneau

Tender marinated and roasted amelia park rump of lamb, served pink with creamy pomme puree, provencal tomato ratatouille, eggplant caviar, baby vegetables and finished with rosemary jus

Poisson du jour

Grilled pink snapper fillet, topped with almond and parmesan crust, served with a cauliflower risotto, buttered asparagus, and finished with saffron and pernod sauce

Fresh strawberries marinated with grand marnier, served in a brandy basket and finished with raspberry ice-cream and whipped cream

Petition

The normal Sunday brunch and dinner service in Petition Kitchen on Mother’s Day but Mums will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on arrival.

 

P’tit Ardoise Bistro

Open from 5pm to cater for families with younger children, the usual à la carte menu will be available on the day.

 

Mother’s Day in Sydney

 

Bathers’ Pavilion

Buffet brunch in the Room and Terrace for $85 for adults and $55 for children 10 years and under.

There will also be a 3 course lunch menu for $160 for adults or $85 for children 10 years and under.

Each Mum receives a special gift from Bather.
