Peter Alexander has released a Moulin Rouge collection, Australia’s first licenced Moulin Rouge collaboration! Peter has visited Paris many times and loves the energy and movement of the city, so he’s naturally drawn to including beautiful Parisienne designs in his collections. While Paris often inspires his collections (at least one Paris-themed collection each year), this is the first time he has done a specific collection themed around the Moulin Rouge.
It’s not just his first collaboration with the Moulin Rouge but the first Australian licensed Moulin Rouge collaboration by anyone! Inspiration was drawn from vintage Moulin Rouge posters and motifs for his designs, as well as the iconic Moulin Rouge itself.
Australia’s Pyjama King Peter Alexander has been in business for 36 years and his designs are worn by people worldwide. Of the collaboration he said
“working with the Moulin Rouge has been a dream, and while I might not be on stage (I think my application might have been lost in the mail…), bringing the fashion, frills and sparkles that make the costumes of the Moulin Rouge so exquisite has been just as exciting.”
Peter Alexander’s Moulin Rouge collection comprises 13 designs which range in price from the sequin bralette for $39.95 to the exquisite Moulin Rouge Kimono Gown for $169.00.
As always, the collection is size inclusive with most pieces in the Peter Alexander Moulin Rouge Collection also available in his P.A. Plus range. Only the Paris Icons Mini Shortie Pj Set, Cami Satin Brief Pj set, and the sequin bralette are not available in plus sizes.
Our favourite pieces from the Moulin Rouge collection are the slinky, the pants, and the kimono gown.
Peter Alexander has also just released a new Paris collection. The collection comprises pale pink and white striped pieces, baby blue satins, French bulldogs on t-shirts and shorts, pretty hydrangeas, and of course the Eiffel Tower motif.
