VIVIR – Flamenco Guitar & Dance

A show with a difference, VIVIR is an evening of passion and rhythm by flamenco guitarist Raul Mannola and dancer Aylin Eleonora. Each artist brings their vision, traditions, freedom and improvisation to VIVIR, a new interpretation of the ancient art of flamenco. Discover the sublime beauty, passion and warmth of real flamenco. It appeared at Avignon Festival in 2018. The artists come to Adelaide direct from Madrid.

 

Aylin Eleonora

Flamenco dancer and freelance choreographer based in Madrid. She has studied with some of the greatest Flamenco masters such as Lupe Gómez, Juana Amaya and Israel Galván. She has toured internationally with acclaimed Flamenco artists such as David and Alfredo Lagos, and performed her solo choreography “Vivir” in Edinburgh, Avignon, Perth and Adelaide. She holds an MA in Dance from the Institute of the Arts Barcelona/ Liverpool John Moores University.

 

 

Raul Mannola

Raul Mannola is a guitarist with 30 years of professional experience in flamenco, playing as a soloist and accompanying international flamenco singers and dancers. However, he has deep roots in jazz and jazz-rock. In addition to playing the purest traditional flamenco he is one of the most trained musicians today to merge flamenco with other musical elements. Author of more than 10 albums and several collaborations with important artist.

 

 

You can see VIVIR at Adelaide Town Hall from Tuesday 26 February until Sunday 2 March. Tickets cost $25 – $30 with discounted tickets available for Bank SA customers and concession card holders. You can purchase tickets here.
