4 French concerts in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra program for 2019

In Queensland, in terms of orchestra, there isn’t just the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra but also the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. For their program for 2019, there are 4 concerts with French works which you must listen to.

 

Dreamscapes – 13 April

In this Queensland Symphony Orchestra concert, you will hear the Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz as well as Kats-Chernin’s Mythic and Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Copland.

Tickets cost between $79 and $119 for adults.

 

Soulful Journeys – 8 June

Nocturnes de Debussy will be played together with works by Skipworth and Dvořák in this Queensland Symphony Orchestra concert.

Tickets cost between $79 and $119.

 

Two Treasures – 14 July

Hyung Suk Bae on cello and Maxwell Foster piano will play Poulenc’s Sonato for Cello and Piano.  In the same concert you will also hear Septet in E flat, Op.20.

Tickets cost $49.

 

Toys and Puppets – 27 October

Extracts from Delibes’ Coppélia and extracts from Debussy’s Children’s Corner will be performed by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra amongst other works Stravinsky, L. Mozart and Bottesini.

Tickets for this concert cost $60 and $88.
