Good News! The Alliance Française French Film Festival 2020 (AFFFF 2020) will be returning to cinemas from 14 July (perfect way to celebrate Bastille Day) until 4 August in Adelaide, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney!
Having been postponed only days after it just started back in March when COVID-19 restrictions were brought in, we were all wondering when AFFFF 2020, the most significant event on the French cultural calendar in Australia would take place.
The original programme had 17 comedies, 22 dramas, 4 thrillers, 2 documentaries and 2 family films just to name a few of the categories!
So dig out your old programmes and shortlists and get ready for 3 fabulous weeks of French film! The revised programme and updated film schedule are yet to be released but stay tuned. We will let you know more as soon as we can!
In the meantime, you may wish to watch some films from the 2019 version of the AFFFF:
11 films from AFFFF 2019 on SBS on Demand
Films from AFFFF 2019 on Kanopy
