BASTILLE DAY 2025 IN ADELAIDE
Adelaide Central Market has a 2 day program of events to celebrate Bastille Day on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July. There will be a pop up champagne bar, roving can can dancers, cooking demonstrations, tours of the market in French, and much, much more. We tell you all about this in a separate article that you can read here.
Alliance Française d’Adelaide, Adelaide Accueil, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce (FACCI), and Agence Consulaire de France à Adélaïde are holding a joint celebration for Bastille Day 2025 a week early on Saturday 5 July at Fullarton Community Centre.
Your $40 ticket ($25 for kids) gets you a champagne on arrival and a 3 course menu of French classics, plus live entertainment with Sarah Carso Trio from Melbourne and Bennymax Ambianceur. Kids get their own dedicated entertainment with mural artwork and a movie screening.
Apoteca is holding a special Bastille Day dinner on Monday 14 July for $145 per person

A Prayer for the Wild at Heart will celebrate Bastille Day 2025 on Saturday 12 July with a a sumptuous 4 course dinner feast with optional French wine pairing for $99 per person. Paired wines from 4 wine regions, selected by sommelier and manager Mathilde Tytgat, can be added for $75 per person. They are also open for lunch that day and serving their usual menu then.

Bistro Français is closed on Mondays but is open lunch and dinner on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July. They don’t appear to have any Bastille Day menu but you can choose between their standard à la carte menu and the Chef’s Selection shared dining menu for $89 per person.
Delicatessen Kitchen & Bar will be open for lunch and dinner on Bastille Day Monday 14 July and for dinner on Saturday 12 July. There doesn’t appear to be any set menu.
Frenchie & Co is preparing a special menu for Bastille Day lunch on Monday 14 July. Details are not available at time of publication.

Garçon Bleu will be open for breakfast on Monday 14 July and for dinner on both Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.
There aren’t any Bastille Day festivities planned and you can choose between the à la carte menu and their Soirée éléctrique 2 course set menu that they have curated for Illuminate Adelaide goers. It includes a Signature Garçon Électrique cocktail on arrival and a 2 course menu for $110 per person.

Hey Jupiter will celebrate Bastille Day 2025 with their à la carte menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. They will have can can dancers and accordion in the evening.

Le Pas Sage is open for dinner on Saturday 12 and Monday 14 July and you can choose between their à la carte menu and their tasting menu for $135 per person. On Bastille Day proper, they with celebrate with a decadent Last dinner of Marie Antoinette themed dinner for $165 per person.
Maison Clément is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Monday 14 July, and for breakfast and dinner on Saturday 12 July. There is no set menu so you can choose from the à la carte menu.
Sussex Hotel is holding a Bastille Day French lunch with 3 courses for $95 per person on Saturday 12 July.
The Old Bush Inn in Willunga is holding a Bastille Day celebration on the day itself, Monday 14 July. There will be a 3 course French set menu, and French music by Lou Blackwell Trio [read our review of a past Lou Blackwell show here] for $75 per person. You will also be able to purchase French wine on the evening.
The Feathers Hotel is celebrating not just Bastille Day but Bastille Month with French specials each week of July.
They are also organsing a 3 course French dinner for Bastille Day with live music on 25 July.

Alliance Française de North Coast will hold its Bastille Day 2025 lunch at Ché Bon restaurant in Ballina on Monday 14 July.

BASTILLE DAY IN BOWRAL, NSW
Franquette Crêperie is holding a festive French soirée with a glass of sparkling on arrival, a decadent galette with truffle and a classic Paris-Brest to finish for Bastille Day. Expect candlelight, a few renditions of La Marseillaise and good company.

Alliance Française de Darwin is celebrating Bastille Day with a party on Friday 11 July at the Darwin Surf Life Saving Club.
Dine on food from De la plage such as beef bourguignon and ratatouille and Pralines and Fairy Floss from the Magic Cauldron for the sweet tooth. French wine will be available at the Surf Club Bar There will be live music by Mathilde earlier in the evening and a dancefloor from 10pm. Kids will be entertained with face painting, bubbles and fun with Fairy Jill.
Le Petit Chef at Hilton Darwin offers an interactive experience with a show projected onto the table between each of the 4 courses. This is a great family way to celebrate Bastille Day.

Gavroche is open on Bastille Day and appears to be offering its 3 courses for $75 Le Petit Menu on Monday 14 July.
Gavroche Chippendale’s curated Le Petit Menu is designed for lovers of classic French fare, their Steak Frites and Duck Confit pair perfectly with their winter exclusive, creamy aligot (available as add on). This traditional dish features silky buttery mashed potatoes blended with indulgent rich cheese.
Kalyx is hosting Bal Musette to celebrate Bastille Day, with lively accordion music, dancing, and great company in the afternoon and evening of Sunday 13 July.
Kevinwood Orchestra and Bells, together with their Junior Choristers and Junior Players will perform a program with a touch of French music for Bastille Day on the morning of Monday 14 July.
La Boucherie doesn’t appear to have any special menus for the weekend prior to Bastille Day but they are open both Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.
La Pérouse Headland and Randwick City Council are holding its annual Bastille Day Civic ceremony at the Lapérouse Monument to commemorate the Storming of the Bastille on Monday 14 July.
The ceremony will start at 9:30am at the La Perouse Headland at the Lapérouse Monument featuring speeches, wreath laying and firing of canons. The canons will fire at approximately 10:15-10:30am.
Guests are encouraged to arrive at 9am for the 9:30am ceremony to commence. Please note there will be a limited number of seats provided for invited dignitaries, with standing room only available for the public.
