Beaujolais Nouveau 2019 has arrived: where to taste it in Australia!

Beaujolais Nouveau, the first red wine of the season, will come out in France on 21 November 2019, as legislated to be from midnight on the third Thursday of the month and not a minute before!

We have found places around Australia where you can taste Beaujolais Nouveau 2019!

The Alliance Française de Sydney will celebrate l’arrivée du Beaujolais Nouveau with this event at which you will receive a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau, accompanied by a specially curated selection of two other wines, balanced out by a beautiful assortment of canapés.


Chapoutier Brand Ambassador Léa Margetic will be present to discuss the tasting notes of the Beaujolais Nouveau and explain some of the history behind this important French cultural event.


A special prize will also go out to the best dressed ‘à la française’ attendee as well as additional opportunities to wine other goodies on the night.

The assertive flavour profile of the goat cheese, olive tapenade and sun dried tomatoes balance well the sweet and strong berry and stone fruit notes of the Beaujolais Nouveau. Salty prosciutto rounds out the flavour profile to create a more complex experience.
