BELGIAN NATIONAL DAY 2022 IN ADELAIDE
Belgian Beer Café Oostende is celebrating Belgian National Day 2022 on the day proper, Thursday 21 July.
Belgian beer and food is available all day as always but special competition events happen in the evening:
7pm: their mussel eating competition is back!
8pm: Think you got what it takes to beat the Belgians? They challenge to you to pour the perfect pints of Stella, honouring the traditional ‘nine step Stella Artois pour!’

BELGIAN NATIONAL DAY 2022 IN BRISBANE
Saccharomyces Beer Café is not content with just one day of celebrations, they are celebrating all week long, culminating in an all day party this weekend.
From July 18 to 24 they are packing out their taps with a week full of great beers for the inaugural Belgian Beer Week! They have over 20 kegs direct from Belgium and a host of very special bottled brews. You’ll get to taste them all as they throw exclusive free and ticketed events throughout the week.
First up, they will ease you in with the oldest continually brewed style of beer, Lambic. Join them on Monday July 18 for the Australian debut public screening of Lambic: About Time and Passion – a movie that explores this unique style of beer that has been brewed unchanged in Belgium for hundreds of years. On Tuesday, they will bring host a tasting of St Bernardus ABT 12 from 2012, 2018 and 2021. They will be be opening magnums of this epic aged beer and taste them side by side. On Belgian National Day (July 21), they have the Lindemans’ coming over! Lindemans Brewery was established in 1822 and nine generations later Lindemans is still family owned, operated, and brewing uniquely Belgian beers. To round out the inaugural Belgian Beer Week, on Saturday July 23, they are throwing an epic Belgian Block Party! The doors are being flung open wide and they are going full Belge with three separate bars, a Belgian Bier Garden and heap of Belgian beery treats. Belgian Block Party – Saturday 23 July
There will be three bars running: the usual, plus a dedicated Lambic Bar and Tinnie Tent in their Bier Garden!
The main bar will be pouring 12 taps of brews directly from the motherland, including very limited and special releases from Dupont, Steenbruuge, Chimay, Rodenbach, De Halve Maant, Verhaeghe.
They’ve curated two special sessions at the Lambic Bar, with brews from Tilquin, Lindemans and Boon pouring across both sessions. Topping that off there’ll be bottle pours including a collaboration between Mikkeller/Lindemans, two 3 Fonteinen brews and the MegaLambic HORAL.
When you need a bit of fresh air and palate freshen up you can bask in the sweet sunshine of the beer garden. They have ex-pat Belgian Coasties, Madocke Bier Brewing Company slinging out their freshest tinnies.
And just when you think you’re all full up and the hunger strikes, indulge in either their regular menu or change it up with some Belgian inspired treats only available for this day.

BELGIAN NATIONAL DAY 2022 IN MELBOURNE
Belgian Beer Café Melbourne is celebrating Belgian National Day 2022, the first celebration
in 3 years with a 4 day celebration from Thursday 21 July to Sunday 24 July.
Specials include: $10 pints of Stella Artois and $5 mini-Stoofvles (fries topped w/ flemish beef stew and a dollop of mayonnaise).
They will have 11 magnificent Belgian Beers on tap, including: Steen Brugge, La Trappe Dubbel and La Trappe Tripel, Rodenbach Fruitage, Rodenbach Grand Cru, Delirium, Chimay Blanche, Zot Blonde, and a few other super-secret one-off brews.
Vive La Difference will be playing French jazz on Sunday afternoon from 3pm.

The Castle Hotel – Monday 18 – Sunday 24 July
Apart from the event with the Belgian Club of Victoria mentioned above, The Castle Hotel is celebrating with Belgian National Day 2022 with its usual annual Belgian festivities.
It’s free entry all weekend and Belgian music will be playing. On Sunday, there is trivia, as well as kids entertainment and movies so adults can relax.
All week long, The Castle Hotel will have specials such as 2 Duvels for $20 and you get a free glass, $10 Chalice pints, and a free raffle to enter with a chance to win a Weber BBQ.
The Castle Hotel has lots of classic authentic Belgian beers on tap as well as in bottles. Belgian beer tasting paddles featuring steenbrugge wit, delirium, Piraat and Gulden draak . Sweet and sour fans will enjoy Kriek boon on tap as well and many more.
There will also be lots of traditional Belgian foods available including: Mussels pots / Moules frites, Frikandel, waffles and the Castle Gulden draak pecan pie. These food specials will be available all week long as well.
The Quarry Hotel has a range of Belgian beers including Delirium with its pink elephant just in time to celebrate Belgian National Day 2022. They also have Guldendraak and Piraat. It’s all about the Belgian beers in July at The Quarry Hotel.
