SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2022 IN ADELAIDE
Swiss Club of SA – Saturday 30 July 2022 from 5 to 9 pm at Montacute Community Hall, 63 Institute Road, Montacute SA 5134 (plenty of parking)
Registration is open until next Friday 22 July 2022 as numbers are limited to 100 people.

The price for the event is $8 and includes soup and bread roll with the option of adding Wienerli (Vienna sausage) for $2.
A welcome drink (fruit juice or mulled wine) is included, and coffee and tea are complimentary.
The club appreciates your contribution to the shared dessert buffet and please bring a soup spoon, a plate for dessert and a cup for hot drinks.
As this is an indoor and outdoor event, they recommend you wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes. They will light up a bonfire and have a lampion parade, so don’t forget to bring your lantern if you have one.
They are honoured to have the visiting Swiss Consul General Bernadette Hunkeler Brown hold the traditional political speech and sing the Swiss National Anthem (in German and French) with them.

Program: 10am: Setup tents for overnight visitors
11am: START of event, bar, sweets, music and PA by Derek Griffin
12noon: Lunch served by SSQ
1pm: Welcome by SSQ President
1.30pm: onwards: children fun activities including games
2pm: Baerg-Roeseli Yodel Choir with music artist, Swiss Oergeli player and yodeller extraordinaire Olga Carolan
2.30pm: Official address Swiss President and National Anthem
4pm: Raffle draw of prizes
4.10pm: Children’s disco
5pm: Dinner
5.30pm: Lampion procession followed by bonfire and evening activities

Come celebrate the National Day of Switzerland with a fun-filled, family friendly afternoon with a “Picnic in the Alps” at the screening of the iconic Swiss film Heidi (2015) at the Kambri Cultural Centre.
Kids will receive a special picnic basket to eat and drink along with Heidi on her adventures through the beautiful scenery of Switzerland!
Following the film, you’re invited to a reception where you will get to meet St. Bernard dogs, enjoy Swiss food, wine, Kirsch and of course Lindt Chocolate!

SWISS NATIONAL DAY 2022 IN PERTH
Swiss Club of Western Australia – 6 August
Join the Swiss Club of WA as they celebrate Swiss National Day on their beautiful property in Gidgegannup, one hour out of Perth. The shed is enclosed and they will have an industrial heater to keep everyone warm and our fabulous Swiss Alphorn players will provide entertainment.
The menu for the night is as follows:
- Fleischkaese (Swiss Meat Loaf) / Beinschinken (Ham)
- Potato Salad, Carrot Salad, Beetroot Salad, Green Salad and Corn Salad
- Crusty Bread
- The famous dessert buffet with shared byo treats is available for everyone.
The event is capped at 100 people, so it is recommended to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Costs are as follows:
- Swiss Club of WA Members (over age 12) $25
- Non-members (over age 12) $40
- Children age 5 – 12 $15
Arrival is from 3.30pm and dinner is served at 4.45pm – the bonfire is lit at 6pm and the dessert buffet will open after that.
