Of course, other exhibiting producers may have these varietals but their websites may not reflect it. On the flipside, we also don’t know which wines each of the producers will bring to Cellar Door Fest Winter Edit 2024. If you’re keen to try one of these at the festival, maybe contact them before the festival to check if they will have it available or make a special request for it.

Exhibiting wineries with other French or Francophonie links

Anvers Wines started in the town of Anvers (the French name for Antwerp) in Belgium where owners Wayne and Myriam Keoghan first met, which was Myriam’s hometown. Knappstein winemaker, Michael Kane has worked in wineries in Burgundy and Champagne. Rollick Wines winemaker Jack has worked at Paul Jaboulet Aine in Rhône Valley and winemaker Tash has lived in France, to name but one of the few places she’s lived.  Schwarz Wine Co. winemaker has worked in Bordeaux, and Burgundy. They also make a rarely seen Grenache Blanc.

Mount Benson Estate has a lot of Syrahs in its range, even a fortified one. Riposte Wines claims it introduced Fumé Blanc to Australian market. Soul Growers makes a Grenache Blanc, and a Cabernet Malbec. Spook Hill Wine makes a Liqueur Shiraz, and a Petit Verdot. Anvers Wines and O’Leary Walker Wines both make Gamay, which is still relatively new to the Australian market.
