November is a month full of French markets and French festivals around Australia. These markets and festivals offer you a wonderful day out but also a great chance to kick-start your Christmas shopping with unique gifts you won’t find in other stores. From Perth to Sydney to country New South Wales, we let you know about where to find your French festival and market fix this month.

French Country Market, Springfield NSW

The French Country Market is your opportunity to feel, see and taste the French experience on our Beautiful NSW Central Coast.

 

At the French Country Market, you will be able to meet Parisian jewellery and homeware designers, and find European style fashion, furnishings and collectables. Buy fresh locally made breads, Chocolates, Gourmet French paté, cheeses and spiced mushrooms, boutique wines. Enjoy scrumptious pastries baked throughout the day with your latte to a gentle background of live French music.

 

Entry fee $2 and children under supervision free. All entry fees will go to Chertsey Primary School to provide services to students with special needs.

 

French Market, Killarney Heights – by FANS French Speaking Association of the North Shore

The French Speaking Association of the North Shore will take over Killarney Heights Public School’s oval for a great day of food, fashion, homewares, small vintage furniture, a historical re-enactment, music and huge rides, at the 15th annual French Market.

 

Browse over 70 stalls of French items including the following at the 15th Annual French Market 2019:

TASTE: Sweet and savoury crêpes, waffles, ‘merguez’ sausage sizzle, raclette, French fries, croque-monsieurs, croissants, pains au chocolat, foie-gras, pâtés and terrines, baguettes, wine and beer tasting, and more

SHOP: French fashion, clothes, jewellery, accessories, cosmetics, poster reproductions

ENJOY: French culture, books, DVD, homewares

RELAX: Coffee, soft drinks, music, and entertainment

KIDS: dodgem cars, jumping castle, climbing wall, face painting, games, fairy floss, snow cones and more.

WORKSHOPS: family yoga; kids’ athletics exercises; children books reading; a talk on bilingualism; wine and beer tasting

 

Entry: Free but a gold coin donation would be appreciated and would go towards the French-English Bilingual Program run at the school.

At the Alliance Française d’Adélaïde French Market you can expect French and French-themed goods, from cheese and wine to clothes and perfume, bringing you a bit of France and providing you with French and French-inspired gourmet food and wine, popular French music and entertainment, children activities and much more!

 

On Saturday 23 November, from 10am to 9pm, the City of Unley will host a spectacular double event with Etsy and their Etsy Made Local community market event, to be held on Oxford Terrace, which will offer South Australian-made arts, crafts and vintage wares.

 

You can also enter the Alliance Francaise d’Adelaide’s raffle with great prizes including a trip to France. Tickets cost $5 and can be pre-purchased online or at the French market itself.

Classic French Film Festival
