Rendezvous Market is a new market that will take place on the first Sunday of the month in Brighton in Adelaide from the 7th March. This market is an initiative of Les Deux Coqs in Adelaide Central Market with the collaboration of Holdfast Bay City council. At this new market, there will be 20 stalls representing different European countries, including: Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and France!
You will find mouth-watering delicious European foods including:
- French patisserie
- French charcuterie
- French crepes
- Flammekeuche
- Spanish empanadas
- Italian cannolis
- Italian toronnes and biscottis
- German hot dogs
- Dutch waffles
- traditional Maghreb desserts
and much more.
There are also non-food stands, including tattoos and Tintin comics. A stand selling ecologically friendly bottles as well.
Other artisan works include leadlight lamps, terrariums and suncatchers from Leadlight Man.
Entry to the Market is free. Parking is available around Bindarra Reserve. It’s in a beautiful spot – just opposite the sea.
Rendezvous Market will take place on the first Sunday of each month with the possibility of it becoming fortnightly if it works well – so attend regularly and with your friends! There will be food stalls but also stands selling arts and crafts.
Many clients have been telling Les Deux Coqs that they miss the French and European markets! This market will transport you to Europe – well it’s the closest you can get to going there at the moment!
New stallholders will be added progressively but to start with there are 20 stands representing a number of European countries!
You can stroll, discover European specialities, treat yourself buying food and non-food products. You can also eat at the market as there will be tables and chairs. Rendezvous Market will also have live music. This truly is a market for everyone – it’s family and pet-friendly.
The first Rendezvous Market is on Sunday 7 March 2021.
