Held in conjunction with Voila Wine Co, the Tour de South Dinner will take diners on a journey through the Southern France region with wines, some in big-bottle format, matched to a delectable Four Course French tasting menu.  For $175 per person, guests can choose from either the 6pm or 8pm sitting times, but as history shows, C’est Bon’s Bastille Day events will sell out quick so post haste!

 

Friday 15th July – A Night in Paris Dinner

Continue the Bastille celebrations on Friday 15th July with A Night in Paris – of course!  Chef Andy Ashby will collaborate again with Voila Wine Co and local guest chefs to bring you a luxurious, chic and very French soirée full of French delicacies over Four Courses paired with wines from the Bordeaux region. For $185 per person, this chic evening will be offered in two seatings – 6pm and 8pm.

 

Friday 15th July – Sunday 17th July, A Flight of France

Celebrate with liquid libations!  C’est Bon’s so Frenchy so chic Rooftop bar Ooh La La will be putting on their own special French offerings from Friday to Sunday with a ‘Flight of France’ cocktails served in blue, white and red – a complete homage to the colours of France.

 

Sunday 17th July – Frenchies Brewery & Frankies Smokehouse Bar Takeover

For dinner, they will offer their 3 course à la carte for $85.00 menu and the following specials:

Moules Marinières – Black South Australian mussels Chef Brett does an amazing version of this dish and if you have not tried it, and enjoy mussels, you must! There will be spot prizes if you can guess the secret ingredient.

Daube de Boeuf – slow-cooked Provençal heritage beef Another Chef specialty, and a very popular dish the last few winters. They will be breaking down the aged side of heritage beef from Feather and Bone for this one, cooked in the light braise of tomato, white wine and Provençal herbs, and served with a starch chosen on the day. This dish is awesome!

Tarte Tatin & vanilla bean glace – this dish needs little in the way of introduction, but, again, what a dish! We will be looking at sourcing some beautiful pommes from Georgie at Sift produce, and leave the rest to the trusted kitchen team, voilà!

Frenchie’s Bistro and Brewery – 13 – 16 July

They have curated a special four-course menu to celebrate the occasion, which in paying homage to our homeland, will shine a spotlight on traditional French cuisine:

  • A duck, chicken and foie gras pâté en croûte
  • Pike quenelles with Nantua sauce
  • Cassoulet Montalbanais for the main. Originating from south west France, the dish features house-made Toulouse sausage, confit duck, pistachio saucisson and pork belly, which is baked in parsley, white beans and a rich tomato sauce, making it the ideal winter warmer.
  • To complete the special experience, trained French pastry chef and fellow Frenchie, Celine Vendeville will be creating another classic for dessert: vanilla crème brûlée with sablé biscuit.

 

Their brewers have developed a limited edition revolution beer, Bastille 1789 for the occasion.

This Blonde Lager is rich in Strisselspalt and Saaz hops, as well as pils, wheat and crystal malts from eastern France. With an ABV of 4.5% it’s an easily drinkable brew, and will be available from the brewery, through several venues and retailers, and special events across the country throughout the month of July.

 

The Bastille Day 2022 menu will be available between Wednesday, 13th and Saturday 16th July, at $85 per person.

At Loulou Bistro, on Thursday 14 July, they will be offering few specials: classic dishes such as light and airy Cheese Soufflee, Saucisson en brioche and flavoursome Duck a L’Orange. The Duck a L’Orange, it is the Aylesbury duck has been aged for 14 days in-house, roasted and carved for easy sharing. The confit legs are prepared overnight in orange, spices and herbs. Served with a tart of witlof with Foie Gras. For dessert, they will be offering Rum Baba. They will also have a bottle of Moët & Chandon ‘Impérial’ Champagne 750ml on special for $99!

 

At Loulou Boulangerie & Traiteur, they are baking Pissaladière, a St Honore (available in small and large format) and our Bastille Day Pâté en croute special for the whole week.
