From this Thursday 16 to Sunday 18 July, Bastille Festival Sydney 2026 brings the most expansive and ambitious program to date, transforming Circular Quay and its surrounds into a vibrant celebration of French culture. While the festival is well known for its rich food and wine offering, this year’s entertainment line-up stands out in its own right, with more than 110 free performances and a dynamic program extending beyond its traditional footprint.

In 2026, Bastille Festival expands beyond its traditional footprint for the first time, partnering with the City’s busking program to activate spaces around the quays and connect precincts through a continuous musical journey. With music at the heart of the Festival, performances will extend beyond Circular Quay, transforming the city into a broader stage filled with sound, creativity and discovery. Across more than 110 free performances, Circular Quay and its surrounding areas will come alive with music, movement and spectacle.

 

A strong French influence runs throughout the program, from cabaret and roaming mimes to a curated selection of incontournables, bringing unmistakable Parisian energy to every corner of the Festival. Artists bringing a French-inspired flair to Bastille Festival Sydney 2026 include:

CASA Spirits, one of Melbourne’s most exciting spirits brands, joins forces with Four Frogs, Australia’s leading French crêperie, to reinvent a French classic for Bastille Festival Sydney 2026. Together, they present a unique Crêpe Suzette experience, flambéed live using CASA’s signature Salted Caramel Sour cocktail.

FIREPIT CINEMA

Bastille Festival Sydney coincides with Christmas in July, another BBR Group festival running the same weekend. Festivalgoers can settle in by the fire, toast marshmallows, sip mulled wine and enjoy classic Christmas films in English throughout the Bastille Festival weekend. French favourites including Amélie, Welcome to the Sticks and Return of the Hero will also be screened next week.
